Darla Gonzalez

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Darla Gonzalez is a leader in civic engagement and grassroots advocacy, with more than three decades of experience empowering individuals to participate thoughtfully in public life. She began her work in Oregon in 1988 and continued after relocating to Arizona in 2004.

In 2010, Darla earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ottawa University, strengthening her commitment to the nonprofit sector. She has worked extensively in grassroots organizing and civic education, including collaboration with national organizations focused on advancing public policy and citizen engagement.

Since 2020, Darla has served as Grassroots Director for the Arizona Free Enterprise Club, where she has helped mobilize and educate citizens across the state. In 2023, she became Executive Director of AZ Liberty Network, leading initiatives that promote civic literacy, public engagement, and a deeper understanding of constitutional principles and the responsibilities of citizenship.

Darla is committed to fostering informed, respectful dialogue and equipping individuals, especially families and students, with the knowledge and tools needed to engage confidently in civic life.

LouAnn Sedgwick

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

LouAnn Sedgwick serves as the Development Director at the AZ Liberty Network & Arizona Free Enterprise Club.

With an extensive background spanning three decades, LouAnn has dedicated her career to grassroots organizing and development. Her diverse experience extends across various realms, including political initiatives, community-based organizations, leadership teams, boards, and school groups.

In addition to her role as a precinct and state committeeman (PC/SC) and previous leadership roles in Legislative District 13, LouAnn has also served as the Treasurer for the Chandler Republican Women, and Secretary for the Chandler Girls Softball league.

Residing in Arizona for the past 18 years with her husband, LouAnn is the proud mother of three daughters. Outside of her professional and community engagements, she finds joy in activities such as hiking, paddle boarding, and maintaining her proficiency in firearms. She takes pride in knowing that she has tirelessly worked to safeguard the well-being of her state and country while championing the principles of freedom for generations to come.

Monica Yelin

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR  |  HISPANIC LIBERTY ALLIANCE

Born in Bogota, Colombia, eager to explore new opportunities, Monica immigrated to the United States in 1998, armed with only a single suitcase, three hundred dollars, a J-1 Work Visa, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and unbridled ambition.

Quickly working to acquaint herself and embrace the American Culture, she took advantage of the countless opportunities this great nation has to offer as she pursued and earned her Master’s degree in International Relations and Political Science.

Beyond her academic pursuits, she became deeply involved in her community, volunteering for grassroots causes, canvassing neighborhoods, and campaign management. She worked for a major insurance company, advancing to become their Grassroots Chairwoman. In 2005, she obtained her American citizenship.

Later, she transitioned to Director of Strategic Initiatives for a political committee and as a Public Outreach Director for the United States House of Representatives. She also specialized in Homeland Security and Immigration matters, exemplifying her commitment to the country that welcomed her twenty-five years ago.

Throughout her journey, Monica has given back to the community. Her volunteer work includes roles as a former member at large for a County Board, captain for Special Olympics, and a team member for the United Way. She also served on the AZ Commission of Preventing Domestic Violence, appointed by Governor Ducey, and was a valued member of a former U.S. President’s National Latino Advisory Board. She graduated from the FBI Citizens Academy and is Toastmasters certified.

Monica is a testament to the millions of migrants who thrive in America and have realized their dreams with determination and dedication. She remains a proud Latino immigrant who embodies the spirit of success that defines this great nation. She is the American Dream.

Jill Norgaard

DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING

The Honorable Jill Norgaard was a state representative for four years. She served on the Appropriations and Commerce committees; and as Chairman of the Education Subcommittee. Prior to that Jill was a small business owner and Vice President of a major aerospace manufacturing company.

She has focused the past two years on the redistricting efforts serving in a leadership capacity. She has led successful workshops for AZFRW including voter outreach, communication to maximize voter turnout, request to speak and how to talk to your legislator. She also is our Chairman for the Day at the Legislature. 

Jill has served as a Member-at-Large representing Congressional District 9 , was elected a delegate  for the 2016 Republican convention and most recently, elected as 1st Vice Chairwoman of the Republican party of Arizona. She will continue conducting public speaking boot camps for those wishing to improve their public speaking skills and recently planned a Liberty Leadership Series event for candidates. 

Jill is a proud member of the Ahwatukee Republican Women and a State Committeewoman from Legislative District 12.
